撇開私人感情，身為唱片公司老闆，他認為Jolin是很努力的藝人，坦承想簽她，「這是一定的，任何老闆都會想簽吧！但現實卻無法落實，要是簽她，又會被寫什麼？有時候逆向操作也會被開罰單的」。
盛傳Jolin有意跟著他的腳步自立門戶，他說：「她沒問過我意見，但很好啊！只要不要找陳澤杉（華納音樂大中華區總裁）合作就好。」去年他針對唱片圈買榜風氣砲轟當時擔任EMI總經理的陳澤杉，那時Jolin是EMI旗下歌手。他越說越感慨，「我和她在那事件（指砲轟）之後就沒聯絡了，我是在幫她耶！」看得出基於舊日情誼，他仍然非常維護Jolin，也很在意她的反應。外傳Jolin極可能進華納音樂與陳再度合作，他聽了冷冷地丟下一句：「那小心喔！」
