從八歲就開始綻放出歌唱天份的LorenaGomez，雖然從來沒有接受過正統的歌唱訓練或是加入過任何歌唱團體，但渾然天成的歌喉卻讓她從小就受到眾人的矚目，也做過幾次小型的國內巡迴演唱，但一直到2006年她參加了西班牙境內最大的歌唱選秀大賽「SpanishOperacion Triunfo」，並在2007年一舉奪下第五季的冠軍寶座，Lorena這個名字才首度在世人面前得到她該有的目光，也吸引了唱片公司的注意，幫她出版個人首張專輯《Lorena》。
