She won Best Female Group/Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for Divinidylle.

Yesterday was the big Victoires de la Musique award show, France's most prestigious pop prizes were handed out. Victorine of the night was Vanessa Paradis, who won two awards (for her album and as a female artist), three if you count the award for Le Soldat Rose, a theatrical spectacle V. was part of too. Also among the winners were newcomers Yael Naim (very fragile singer-songwriter) and Koxie (call her the French answer to Lily Allen). Had not posted songs by these girls - Yael because she sings mostly in Hebrew or English, and Koxie because I forgot. Here's the make-up.
UPDATE: My bad: Koxie did not win, in that category (Most original song of the year) Christophe Willem was the victor.

Vanessa Chantal Paradis [born December 22nd 1972 in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Val-de-Marne, France] is a French pop singer and actress. Vanessa Paradis was discovered on the TV show L'ecole des fans in 1980. She recorded her first single 'La magie des surprises-parties' in 1985. Although it was not a hit, it paved the way for the song with which she would become internationally famous 'Joe le Taxi' in 1987', while she was still only 14 years old. It was No.1 in France for 14 weeks and, unusually for a song sung in French, was released in the UK the following year, where it reached No.3. It was taken from her first album M&J.

'Divinidylle' is the 2007 album by French singer Vanessa Paradis. It was recorded between November 2005 through June 2007. This is the fifth studio album by Paradis, the last being her 2000 release 'Bliss'. The first single, called 'Divine Idylle', was released to French radio in June 2007.
