Colourful Hong Kong Personality Lydia Sum passes away 200/1/19
One of Hong Kong’s most well-known, popular and colourful personalities - Lydia Shum Din-ha - died on Tuesday morning at 8.38am as a result of liver cancer.

She was one of Hong Kong’s best-known entertainers and fondly called “Fei Fei” or “Fatty Shum” for her corpulent physique and exuberant personality. Sum was well known for her iconic black-rimmed glasses, heavy build and created laughter for many including me in the past few decades and will be sorely missed. She is survived by ex-husband, actor Adam Cheng, and their daughter Joyce Cheng. Our condolences to her immediate family and friends for their loss.

This is the last thing that the Hong Kong entertainment industry needed after the fallout over the past few weeks from the Edison Chen scandal.

Lydian Sum was survived by Joyce Cheng Yan-yee, the daughter with her divorced husband Adam Cheng Siu-chow.
