自從在一個電視廣告中聽到那首On My Shoulders，我便開始四處尋找這個聲音，結果《A Mouthful》如願以償、毫不失望地成為08年聽過的所有新專輯中我最喜愛的一張。
　　
然而，當我向朋友推薦這支叫作“The Do”的樂隊時總覺得有些怪異，我只好接著介紹The Do的成員為Olivia B.Merilahti和Dan Levy，來自法國巴黎和芬蘭赫爾辛基的一對新跨國組合。可喜的是，這種美好的異樣感同樣體現在The Do的音樂裡，太多不同的曲調和愉快的轉折讓人無從期許接下來會繼續得到什麼。
　　
聽Stay (Just a Little Bit More)這樣的歌曲讓我想起了久違的The Cardigans，Olivia升起的高調喚起些許Blonde Redhead的印象，那些有趣的童音部分則人想到Cocorosie，而突然一首hip-hop曲風的queen dot kong讓人徹底敗倒。據Olivia所說，對他們第一張專輯《A Mouthful》影響最大的是冰島的另類流行女王Bjork，他們共同的魅力都在於打破各種風格之間的屏障，以打造自己獨特的聲音。
