Dear friends, Adele and the label XL Recordings don't want any info or links about "19" album here. I removed the post about Adele even if i don't agree with them.

We're here to help bands and artists get more recognition and more fans. If some of them prefer to sell 1000 copies and get heard by 1000 people instead of selling 500 copies and get heard by 10.000 people then it's their problem and not mine

No more Adele here

WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Hi xxxxx@freemail.gr,

On behalf of XL Recordings and Adele, we would kindly ask you not to post copies of "19" on your site (or any individual tracks from Adele's new album - release date 28th Jan 08). Regrettably, should you do so DMCA notifications shall be forwarded to your site's ISP and take-down action shall follow (and, in extreme / persistent cases, site closure) : naturally, however, we hope that this shall not prove to be necessary.

On behalf of both Adele and XL, we do appreciate that - of course - you are fans of / are promoting Adele but, by the same token, you must also appreciate that, by posting pirate copies of tracks from the album pre-release (or linking to pirate copies), you are potentially causing considerable inconvenience and we are sure that you would not want to be personally responsible (or liable) for all of the resulting damage and disruption.

Thank you for respecting the artist's and label's wishes and, if you want good quality, non-pirated tracks, earlier versions of songs from "19" and the video version of "Chasing Pavements" are available for you to link to on Adele's MySpace page (check-out http://www.myspace.com/adelelondon for full details and the latest info on "19").

Whilst writing, we'd add that XL and Adele are not at all against free music but, at the end of the day, it should be (and is) the artist's decision as to whether or not she effectively allows the unauthorised distribution of her album on-line before its release - as it's HER MUSIC !! Thank you, again, for respecting her wishes.

As you will appreciate, this e-mail is written on a without prejudice basis and, as such, all of our clients' accumulated, worldwide rights remain strictly reserved : please excuse this required formality.

With Thanks & Regards,

Well Web Sheriff maybe if the music industry didn't ask such exorbitant prices for CD's then maybe people would be more inclined to buy them. However while record companies pander to the whims of a select few Superstars (I use the term loosely) and waste ridiculous amounts of money chauffering them in limo's and putting them up in 5 star hotels and worse still signing them to long term contracts worth ludicrous amounts of money (Mariah Carey worth 80 million bucks for ten albums at the end of her career? Please! I suppose it helps if your sleeping with the boss though)people will still be expected to pay up to 35 bucks for a CD (Australia) Which they very likely won't. Especially after they have been bitten by dud 'artists'. Seems as though everybody who want's to be an artist also thinks it's their right to be a millionaire regardless of whether they are good or not. Many of the so called 'artists' putting out CD's should have been plumbers.
