With the recent redesign, the Weekly Playboy also decided to give popular photographer Kawashima Kotori an ongoing series in order to make full use of his abilities.

The series is called “AKB48-chan” and will only contain pictorials of the group’s young research students rather than already well-known girls.

The second girl with whom Kawashima took some pictures was Oba “Minarun” Mina. Minarun is 19 years old and took part in the “9th AKB48 Research Student Audition” in 2009.
She can currently be seen as Team Fondue’s Toshima in the AKB48 drama “Majisuka Gakuen 2“, and also participated in the song “Anti” that will be included in the Theater version of their 21st single, “Everyday, Kachuusha“.

Kawashima himself is a photographer from the new generation, who has recently took the world of photography by storm with his unique photobooks.

This year he released a new book called “Mirai-chan” in which he covered the life of an ordinary young girl for a whole year. The pictures are powerful and original, just like the book itself that was designed by the famous Sobue Shin.

There is also an exhibition with the pictures touring some major cities in Japan and several celebrities already dropped to enjoy the adorable pictures. Of course, he already worked for the Weekly Playboy before, like many other famous photographers, but it’s his series for the magazine.
