Alter the Ending is the sixth studio album recorded by Dashboard Confessional. It is set to be released on November 10, 2009, and will come in two versions: a single CD, and a deluxe 2-CD edition, which includes a second disc of acoustic versions of the 12 songs on the CD.

American band, Dashboard Confessional have been around for about a decade now. They have released five studio albums and have been pretty successful in their genre. Having developed a strong fan base and received positive reviews with each album. Now on their sixth Chris Carabba and the guys have grown musically and decide to play around with some new sounds. The songs are filled with pop/rock flare and hooks that will have you repeating them over and over again. Many of the songs are radio friendly and Carabba reveals some of his best written work yet.
