Himuro Kyosuke has written a new song titled, “IF YOU WANT“, and it will be a new theme song for NTV’s NEWS ZERO.

This song was going to be the theme song starting on April 1st, however, while Himuro was at recording studio in LA, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred.  Himuro was shocked at the painful sight on TV, therefore, he changed the lyrics to the song for current Japan including the devastated areas putting his thought of “the strength to overcome even in adversity” into the song.  It’s been about 14 years for Himuro to write the lyrics alone after “NO MORE FICTION” which was one of the tracks of his album “I・DE・A” (released in December 1997).

The new theme song for NEWS ZERO will start airing on May 2nd, and on May 5th, NEWS ZERO will feature Himuro on his interview about his charity live at Tokyo Dome (will be held on June 6th) as well as the close reporting on his recording scene.  Moreover, there will be a midnight special show titled “NEWS ZERO Tokubetsu-ban  Himuro Kyosuke Micchaku! 250 nichi”  which will show the close reporting on Himuro’s 250 days since in August 2010.
