「南韓歌王」徐太志爆出與李智雅密婚，和李智雅拍拖的鄭雨盛不知情中成了小三，鬧得沸沸揚揚。昨徐太志發表聲明，表示兩人已於2000年6月分居，2006年李智雅向美國法院訴請離婚，他已支付贍養費，不解她為何在1月19日又提出高達1億4694萬元台幣的贍養費訴訟。李智雅昨下午撤回訴訟，徐太志則未回應。

李智雅３月被拍到和鄭雨盛密遊巴黎，上周卻爆出她早在１４年前就當了「徐太太」，後來離婚。她主張兩人的離婚2009年才生效，要求他支付近１億５千萬元台幣贍養費，昨卻突然撤回訴訟。

定居美國的徐太志，昨在官網向粉絲致歉：「我15年前退隱，想結婚生子，不幸的是我與對方（李智雅）11年前分手。不能先告訴大家，很抱歉。」

Yesterday, we reported that Lee Ji Ah withdrew her lawsuit against Seo Taiji after he came out with a statement addressing their divorce. Turns out, the two had actually come together prior to the announcement for a settlement of $1 million USD + α.
On May 1st, a representative that is well-acquainted with this lawsuit revealed that Lee Ji Ah and Seo Taiji’s lawyers met several times to discuss a settlement in hopes of preventing the lawsuit issue from getting out of hand with the public.

He stated, “Seo Taiji’s lawyers offered $1 to $2 million USD, but Lee Ji Ah’s lawyers asked for $2 million USD. Both sides settled on an agreement of $1 million USD + α.”

Through Star Today, representatives of Seo Taiji commented, “Rumors of a settlement being reached are unfounded. We did not even know that Lee Ji Ah had withdrew her lawsuit beforehand. We do not want anymore rumors being made by third party sources.”

A rapid fire on the Seo Taiji situation. We just reported Seo Taiji’s official and personal statement regarding his marriage and divorce with actress Lee Ji Ah, and now it appears that Lee Ji Ah has decided to withdraw her lawsuit against her ex-husband!

Lee Ji Ah’s legal representatives spoke today that, “Miss Lee submitted documents related to withdrawing from the case today.” They explained the motive behind this withdrawal as, “After the story of divorce and lawsuit was made public, excessive invasion of privacy was started, making Miss Lee, her family and her acquaintances suffer. Miss Lee decided that it would be too difficult to continue the case with these circumstances.”

Does this sudden change of heart have anything to do with Seo Taiji releasing his statements today? Or is this just a coincidence? Will we be able to hear more about this secretive pair?

As Seo Taiji and Lee Ji Ah’s heated marriage and divorce news continues to unfold,Jung Woo Sung has been dedicating himself to his career.

On May 1st, Jung Woo Sung’s agency stated, “Jung Woo Sung has been in Seoul since his return from Jeju Island. He recently received a movie offer, and he is currently milling over his options in a positive light.”

It’s being said that Jung Woo Sung, Lee Ji Ah’s boyfriend, had been suffering a hard time ever since he became aware of Lee Ji Ah’s relationship with Seo Taiji. Apparently on April 22nd, Jung Woo Sung drank with his agency’s CEO, and also got heavily drunk while drinking with fellow actor, Lee Jung Jae.

A representative commented, “He still seems down, but because the parties involved still have a lot to resolve, he also wishes for them to find a solution in a good manner.”

Since Seo Taiji recently came out with an official statement, many have been expecting one from Jung Woo Sung as well. Responding to this, the representative stated, “They may have released an official statement, but there is nothing about Jung Woo Sung’s relationship with Lee Ji Ah that we believe needs to be announced in an official manner.”

Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung will soon be leaving for Japan to shoot for his new Japanese drama, “New Life“.

Seo Taiji’s management company released an official statement regarding his marriage and divorce with actress Lee Ji Ah today. Seo Taiji himself posted a message on his fan website, www.seotaiji.com, speaking personally to his famously loyal fan base.

The following is Seo Taiji’s personal statement. Note that Seo Taiji is his stage name and his real name is Jung Hyun Chul:

First, I would like to apologize to those who love me, for not telling you sooner. After I left many difficulties behind and retired back in 1996, I wanted to become the natural Jung Hyun Chul and not the musician Seo Taiji. I wanted to be an ordinary person, living a normal life to get married and raise children.

I wanted to protect a small shelter that I worked hard for, and ordinary life that was hard to get. I wanted to tell my fans first and be celebrated once I gained stability and confidence about my life. However, that life did not last long and I had to come back to Korea and once again become musician Seo Taiji after I separated with my partner after 2000.

She became a secret in my heart, as telling the world about someone that is no longer part of my life and is walking her own path would be unthinkable. Please understand why I could not say anything.

I feel apologetic when I think of those of you that are a having hard time because of the situation. However, you also give me support and that makes me feel something that cannot be described with the words “Thank you”. I learned much from this, and hopefully there will be a day when we can talk more casually. I hope to meet you again in good shape.

Along with the official statement, it seems that Seo Taiji’s side summed up their side of the story for now.

Korea still hasn’t recovered from the shock surrounding the secret marriage of music legend Seo Taiji and actress Lee Ji Ah. While the fans of those stars are rolled up in blankets grieving, the more curious breed of netizens started digging through the vast world wide web… and found quite a story: A Sports Seoul news article from November 20th, 1996. The headline? Seo Taiji is getting married (to a Korean American student on December 24th).

Remember, this is from 1996, which was 15 years ago. Around that time in late 1996, it was not long after Seo Taiji announced that his legendary band (Seo Taiji & Boys) would be breaking up and he would be going into retirement. So how did Sports Seoul strike the gold, dig it out, and show the world… just to ultimately find out that nobody believes their story?

The path that they took went like this; the chief editor of Sports Seoul at the time was Mr. Lee Ki Jong. He received a phone call from a Korean in America telling him that they see Seo Taiji frequently in disguise hanging out with a girl who appears to be his wife.

So he started digging deeper, until he got in contact with one of Lee Ji Ah’s relatives, who told this individual that the couple is getting married and only relatives from Lee’s father’s side are invited. The relative described Lee as a fine young lady who is smart, beautiful, and talented.

Mr. Lee sensed that this was something big. How big? Look at the picture of the article. The main article with Seo’s face in it, it’s huge. Even the letters are huge with headline color scheme being red and yellow. That is the kind of colors the press usually uses to describe emergency, like code red. That headline means business, still not convinced? The little, tiny, overlooked article to the right with a girl’s face slapped on it is about Shin Eun Kyung, one of the top actresses at the time, getting arrested from a multi-hit-and-run while drunk without a driver’s license. That is breaking many crimes at once, and would have made a major headline story if Seo Taiji article wasn’t there.

The point is, Sports Seoul thought they hit the jackpot.

Seo Taiji, however, didn’t like the article one bit. He and his management company called it defamation and showed their outrage at Sports Seoul. And Seo Taiji is not just some ordinary musician; he is the legend whom many consider the godfather of Kpop. He’s still big now, but he was much, much bigger back then (like Michael Jordan in his prime). Did Sports Seoul want to mess with the number one star in the industry, his company, and the lawyers in their pockets all at the same time?

Apparently not, the flashy headline was taken down. Its glorious rein of red and yellow lasted a mere few hours. People probably talked about it for a few days after that, maybe even a week or two, but eventually everyone forgot that it ever existed.
