On March 27, 200,000 tourists poured into the campus of Wuhan University to view the sakura blossoms. The sakura trees were gifts from Japan. The Wuhan University charges 10 yuan per person in admission fees. More than 3,000 traffic police officers were deployed to direct traffic outside the campus, while more than 1,000 university student volunteers served inside the campus. People were packed so tight that they had to inch forward behind whoever is in front of them.
