After finishing the Tokyo Marathon on February 27th, Akimoto Sayaka announced that she’s officially returned as the leader for AKB48′s ‘Team K’. Akimoto was caught up in a scandal last October and was relieved of her captain position.

It’s now been revealed by her agency, office 48, that she’ll be joining three other AKB48 members to form a new sub-unit called ‘DiVA‘. The four member group consists of Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Masuda Yuka, and Miyazawa Sae.

DiVA will debut with their first single on April 27th through avex trax. While the title has yet to be announced, the single will have four limited editions and one normal edition.

‘Type A’ will have one coupling song (song A), with instrumentals. The limited edition will have a DVD that contains the music video for the title track and a “Special Making Movie”, in addition to an application card to attend a DiVA event. While the ‘limited edition’ for A gets ‘jacket design A’, the normal edition will only have ‘jacket design D’. Both releases are retailed at ¥1,600 ($19.50 USD).

‘Type B’ will include one coupling song (song B), with instrumentals. The limited edition will have the title song music video on DVD and a track image document of a DiVA member (tentative). It will also include an application card to attend the group’s debut event, and the entire relese will come with ‘jacket design B’. Meanwhile, Type B’s normal edition will only have ‘jacket design E’. Both are retailed at ¥1,600 ($19.50 USD).

Type C will include one coupling song, “Blue rose -DiVA ver.-” and instrumentals. The limited edition will include the title track music video and a message from the AKB48 members to DiVA on DVD. Like the previous types, this will have an application card to attend their debut event, and it’ll come in ‘jacket design C’. The normal edition will have ‘jacket design F’. Both are retailed at ¥1,600 ($19.50 USD).

Finally, the first press limited edition (mu-mo shop edition) will have ‘jacket design G’. The CD only will contain four tracks, including two instrumentals and one remix. It will contain 1 of 4 random pictures, and an application to participate in a handshake meeting (tentative). The CD only retails at ¥1,000 ($12.25 USD).
