On February 5th, KBS 2TV’s '세대공감 토요일'“Generation Empathy Saturday” chose SNSD as the best girl group ever.

They held a new corner titled, “Ranking! Old and New“, and their viewers chose SNSD as #1 in the “BEST Girl Group Top 10” list.

Fin.K.L is an old school girl group that debuted over a decade ago and won over fanboys’ hearts back in the 90s and early 2000s. They are often named one of the most memorable girl groups in K-pop history, but SNSD managed to beat them for the #1 spot.

Third place went to Wonder Girls, fourth to S.E.S, and KARA, 2NE1, Brown Eyed Girls, Secret, f(x), and Baby V.O.X followed.

SM Entertainment: “SNSD has no plans for a drama…”

Recent rumors about the nine members of SNSD all staring as the lead for an upcoming drama have been shot down by their agency, SM Entertainment.

On February 2nd, SM Entertainment stated through a phone call with Money Today Star News, “There are no plans of them being cast in a drama.”

The representative continued, “The members of SNSD will focus on their group activities in Korea, and again they currently have no plans of being cast in a drama.”

Representatives in the industry have been spotlighting a drama which could feature all nine members of SNSD!

According to a few representatives, a drama production company is currently planning a live remake of a popular Japanese manga, and are in the casting stages for famous writers and entertainment agencies.

The drama plans to focus on the personal stories and episodes of nine members and will air in Japan first, before crossing over to Korea. Discussions for arrangements with one broadcast network are currently underway.

Should they agree to the drama, the series will have to reach completion within the first half of the year due to the girls’ pending music promotions.

Unfortunately, it looks like the girls may not be able to rise to the call, as their schedules are already quite packed.

A representative of SM Entertainment revealed to Sports Donga on February 1st, “We have received a few offers about dramas using the nine girls of SNSD as the leads. We are not against the idea of featuring all of them, but we’re currently not in the position to be working on a drama.”

He continued, “The members don’t have the time to break away from their schedules for such a long period of time. At this moment, we have no thoughts of featuring them in a drama.”



SNSD exclaim “Oh My God!” for Goobne Chicken

Just moments ago, SNSD revealed a brand spanking new CF for Goobne Chicken, and boy are they excited for it.

Reminiscent of old “Herbal Essences” commercials, the girls all exclaim “Oh My God!” in their excitement for the chicken, and then begin dancing around because it’s just that awesome tasting.
