While we've been fans of Philly soul/folk troubadour Amos Lee for quite a while now, we think that his new album Mission Bell (January 25/Blue Note), produced with Americana band Calexico, delivers some of his best music to date. We've already given you a preview with a couple of streaming tracks -- but wanted to also share this lovely duet "Clear Blue Eyes" with Lucinda Williams (who appears to be on our mind lately).

After cracking the Top 40 with Last Days at the Lodge, Amos Lee enlisted some of his most famous fans to appear on a follow-up effort. The resulting Mission Bell features appearances by the likes of Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, and Iron & Wine's Sam Beam, all of whom contribute to the album's blend of folk, acoustic soul, and jazz.
