The 43rd annual Yuusen Taishou Awards have announced their nominees for their winter award ceremony on November 18th.

The “Yuusen Ongaku Yuushuu Shou” award for musical excellence has several nominations. Among the performers honored are Uemura Kana, Ootsuki Miyako, JUJU, Nishino Kana, Hikawa Kiyoshi, hilcrhyme, FUNKY MONKEY BABYS, and Mizumori Kaori for a total of eight nominees. Besides the overall musical award for excellence, there will also be awards for best newcomer and Yuusen enquiry awards. A special prize was also given to Uemura Kana’s ten minute long epic, “Toilet no Kami-sama.”

The awards first began in 1968 and have now reached their 43rd year. The ceremony will air on November 18th on TBS and JNN nationwide net starting at 7PM.
