Stu Boogaloo is probably one of the best pop DJ’s in London and a nightlife personality to be reckoned with! His fabulousness is not limited to the clubs, but now comes to you in video form. His latest single is called “Forever More” and it is slated for a June 28th release. On “Forever More” the beats are ethereal and dreamy, while the video is psychedelically camp. Boogaloo Stu returns to the fray with an EP of brand new material, preceding his third studio album (as yet untitled) which will be released early in 2011.
Following his exquisite second solo studio album Enough About You…Let’s Talk About Me, this new material sees Stu flexing his musical muscle with a new collaborator, with all tracks co-written and produced by Jonathan Allen. The results are a further distillation of the subtle melodic electronica and languid lounge-pop Stu is perhaps best known for – Forever More rediscovers the sweet, wistful sound of The Beloved and matches it with the blue, shimmering dream-pop of Royksopp.
Stu has once again called on the talents of video-jock and expert-animator Ladypat to create a bespoke video for “Forever More”, which sees Stu apple-picking in a surreal lunar forest of human trees, among other things.
Box Of Slice have transformed “Forever More” into an Atari wonderland, while Oscar Cash (of Metronomy) turns out a quirky, lounge-pop version with more than a hint of Metronomy’s off-kilter sound; meanwhile The Simple Facts sees Stu reuniting with vocalist Lucy Bundy who appeared on Stu’s 2009 single Hammer To Fall.
