　 當正值9歲稚齡的Jarman雙胞胎兄弟Ryan(主唱/吉他手)與Gary(貝斯手)，夥同5歲的鼓手Ross在自家聚會派對上表演後，瞬間燃起心中表演的慾望。經歷國中、高中求學階段，來自英格蘭約克郡Wakefield小鎮的三兄弟，受到The Beatles到The Sex Pistols再至The Smiths等風格迥異並提升各年代音樂層階之代表樂團影響，The Cribs決定攜手一圓音樂夢。接連發行三張EP作為投石問路之作，果然順利造成地下樂界騷動，在2003年簽入Wichita唱片，隔年發行首張同名大碟『The Cribs』，也讓美國樂壇注意到這組潛力無窮的樂團。第二張作品『The New Fellas』，請到英倫才子Edwyn Collins操刀，入主NME雜誌「2005年度專輯」名單Top11。2007年躍升主流的國際之作『Men`s Needs, Women`s Needs, Whatever』，拿到英國金榜Top13佳績。
