Label Arista
Release Date Aug 31, 2009

R&B Diva Whitney Houston released her debut album back in 1985. She has since had an incredible career with success after success. Now 7 years since she's released any new material, Houston is back doing what she loves once again. The lovely ballad and first single "I Look To You" has been making it's rounds on radio and "Million Dollar Bill" will be soon as well. As for the rest of the album it's clear she has gone contemporary, but still retains her trademark vocal flourishes. There are both up-tempos and the classic Houston ballads which make for a well-rounded album. She may not have the same voice she had years ago but the women still has it in her. Be sure to check it out and BUY YOUR COPY AUGUST 31ST!!

Despite her star having lost some of its luster in the 2000s, Whitney Houston is still regarded as a benchmark for modern singers of all stripes (from soulful divas to would-be pop idols). Almost seven years in the making, 2009's I LOOK TO YOU ... Full Descriptionmarks a music industry homecoming for the singer. Supported by a mob of A-list producers and songwriters including Diane Warren, David Foster, R. Kelly, Alicia Keys, and many more, Houston's vocals are in fine form on material ranging from hip-hop-tinged contemporary R&B ("Million Dollar Bill") to `70s covers (Leon Russell's "A Song for You") to adult contemporary torch songs ("I Look to You").
