Katharine McPhee’s new album has been given the title Long Way From Home, it will be released September 22nd and will have a standard edition CD a CD/DVD combo both available on the same day.

Now signed to Verve Forecast Records, Katharine McPhee will be releasing her sophomore album "Long Way From Home" on October 6th!! McPhee is looking to show a new side of herself with the new look and new sound. Here we have the first official single titled "Had It All" which was co-written by Kara Dioguardi. Like her IDOL predecessor Kelly Clarkson, McPhee assimilates the influence of different genres into a highly commercial format, covering her bases all the while: the album features plaintive ballads, dancefloor jams, and bouncy pop. The result is a sharp, mainstream pop album that casts a wide net, one that will ensnare both old fans and new.
