我的年代 舞池國歌之一 慢搖

16 Jun 2008
Label: Reflex
Genre : reggae

Description
Reggae veterans UB40 return with the follow-up to 2005's 'Who You Fighting For'. 'TwentyFourSeven' is vintage UB40; Rootsy reggae grooves with laid back bass lines and an uplifting horn section provide the backing for Ali Campbell's smooth, catchy melodies. Maxi Priest and DJ Rapper Truth feature on 'Dance Until the Morning Light', which contains a Desmond Dekker sample and is included along with 'Lost And Found' asa double A-side single. UB40 sound as fresh and vibrant as they ever did.

Product Description
From the Label
UB40 have spent the last few years doing what many bands in such an exalted position would do. Having sold over 50 million albums and become global superstars, they have spread their wings and diversified.
They have collaborated with Jamaica's dancehall legends and worked with the fathers of reggae. In 2003, they even recorded "Swing Low", the anthem for the England rugby team's triumphant World Cup campaign.

This year saw the band release their 23rd album Who You Fighting For on the 25th anniversary of their recording debut, to much acclaim. Entering the charts at no. 20, the UK press overwhelmingly described the album as a true return to form. Their Live 8 performance was given 10/10 and described as the best performance by The Mirror.

This 2CD compilation features both of their previous best of albums plus "Swing Low" and "Kiss and Say Goodbye".

Description
This two CD set brings together both of UB40's "greatest hits" collections for the first time in one package. Known fortheir unique mix of pop and reggae, UB40 scored many UK topten hits throughout the eighties and nineties many of whichare featured here. Included are the UK number one singles 'Red Red Wine', 'I Got You Babe' - which featured Chrissie Hynde on vocals - and 1993's '(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You'.

Im sitting here praying that you werent just saying
Leaving tomorrow was what you had planned
No point in pretending, I know that its ending
I just want to know where the ending began

(chorus)

Where did I go wrong to make it like this
No warmth in your body, no touch in your kiss
Holding you now, hurts more than it should
If I let you go, girl, youll be gone for good

I thought you had saved me, the love that you gave me
The sweetest loving in all of the land
But youve taken my heart, and youve torn it apart
And its crumbled to dust in the palm of your hand

(chorus)

Where did I go wrong.......(etc)

Theres nothin worth sayin, I know youre not staying
Might as well face it, its out of my hand
No point in pretending, I know that its ending
I just want to know where the ending began

(chorus)

Where did I go wrong........(etc)
