The long awaited music video from Ayumi has finally been released entitled "Mirrorcle World". The song is actually the full length version of her song "Mirror" which was an intro on the "Guilty" album. She combined the words Mirror+Miracle = Mirrorcle World. Before watching this music video when I heard the full length song I didn't really enjoy because half way through to me it sounds like the battle music in an RPG game. If you visit this site you already know of Ayumi's music doesn't really impress me with the exception of three songs although I'm also open minded when it comes to her new releases.
I was hoping with the release of the music video I though it would change my opinion but it didn't. I still don't find this song that interesting. Now moving on to the video. When watching the video I found that Ayumi in the red dress was really nice but at the same time thought of a bull fighter. Then there is a scene where she has feathers in her hair with long white nails with feathers on them that reminded me of Koda Kumi's "Ningyo Hime" and Ayumi's "Alterna" music video. When done watching the whole video this also brought back flashbacks of "Bold & Delicious" music video since it was shot in New York City and this one being shot in "Paris". I thought Ayumi and her Avex team would learn that if your going to shot a music video in a foreign country make it the best music video ever and take advantage of the country's scenery which she did not do. Also, I'm still trying to figure out the plot of the music video (if someone could explain it to me I'll be happy :D). The single for this song will be released on April 8th. [credit:doobie@jpopsuki]
