IFPI lowers standards again
The HK IFPI (who monitor record sales and represent the industry) have again lowered their standard for gold and platinum records because few albums were reaching the desired standard.
香港國際唱片業協會（掌控唱片銷售和代表唱片業）再次調低金唱片和白金唱片的標準，因為很少專輯能達到能預期的標準。
整體銷售額比2006年下降17 ％ ，（連續第7年下降的） ，只有張敬軒和孫耀威2張唱片達到金唱片標準,雖然有的唱片公司未透露其銷售。
With overall sales 17% down on 2006 (the 7th consecutive year of decline) only 2 albums reached the gold standard, by Hins Cheung (right) and Eric Suen though not all record companies have yet disclosed their sales. The new standard drops the required sales for a gold record down from 20,000 to 15,000 and from 40,000 to 30,000 for platinum.
