Talent and singer Becky held an exclusive concert at Universal Studios Japan on April 3rd, where she spread her own positive message to those recovering from the devastating March 11th earthquake.
As the ambassador of USJ’s tenth anniversary celebration, the popular talent held an official concert, titled “Becky♪# Hand in Hand USJ Tour”, which amassed nearly two thousand people. During her event, Becky headed a silent prayer for the victims of the Tohoku earthquake in addition to a short speech. “We’ve got to support the earthquake victims. Because of that, we have to stay energetic! Don’t give in! (Go) Japan!”, she said to the audience.
After the Tohoku earthquake, Becky’s event was changed from “Good de Lucky na Becky♪# USJ Tour” to its current title in order to reflect USJ’s feelings towards the current situation in Japan. A total of eleven songs were performed – including the “debut” performance of the song “Kokoro Komete” – as a way of communicating positive feelings of strength, endurance, and revival to those affected by the natural disaster.
