Previously, tokyohive reported that Korean idol group 2PM performed at the 12th Tokyo Girls Collection. It turns out that they weren’t the only Kpop group that performed at the event. Korean girl group AFTER SCHOOL made their performance debut in Japan at this major event as well. The event was held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo on March 5th.

AFTER SCHOOL had already been receiving much attention from fans for their collaboration with Amuro Namie. And the collaboration song “make it happen,” will be included in Amuro Namie’s upcoming collaboration album “Checkmate!” set for release on March 23rd.

Although AFTER SCHOOL is a nine member group, only eight members performed at the event. They each introduced themselves in Japanese to the fans and performed their hit singles “Let’s Do It” and “Bang!“. Their singing and dance moves seem to capture the attention of many girls attending the event. Being a nine member group, they’re already gaining the attention of fans as rivals to Shoujo Jidai, who debuted this past year.
